Our History Castle Cars was founded in Northfield 1981, as a three car operation, the company was named after Weoley Castle which is closely situated to Selly Oak, the companies original owners felt that the area needed a new Taxi business. Castle Cars moved the business to Selly Oak in 1990 where it remains and operates today, the company has now grown to over 400 vehicles also employing over 30 call centre staff and 15 road Mangers keeping tight control over the drivers and vehicles. Castle Cars is situated in the heart of the student community which it supplies a quality service, and works very closely with Birmingham University ensuring safe travel for students, a ‘free’ night bus service was introduced in 2009 to ferry passengers from the City Centre to their halls of residence to ensure they arrive safely home, on busy nights at the University we also provide added security by providing a Marshalling service for students making sure that they are not picked up by bogus drivers touting for work. Castle Cars works very closely with the local businesses and the community in the area, providing a Freephone service from the larger supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Aldi, we also have regular meetings with the West Midlands Police regarding
